本片有王子有惡龍，但絕非童話。
公主Elodie（米莉·波比·布朗 飾）答應嫁給英俊的王子Henry，卻駭然發現王室打算將她獻祭給一頭巨龍，以償還家族代代相傳的古老債務。慘被當成祭品的她被無情地扔進洞穴，麵對張牙舞爪的噴火惡龍，她必須靠著勇氣與智慧逃出生天。
