電影劇情與導演費爾南多·楚巴執導1998年電影《夢中的女孩》相關，同樣是佩內洛普·克魯茲主演的瑪蓮那，曆經過一戰，到了二戰後與一群西班牙的電影工作者，於1950年代拍攝美國好萊塢電影。
