    簡介：該片改編自莫言1986年發表的兩部中篇小說《紅高粱》和《高粱酒》。因為一匹騾子，“ 我奶奶”九兒（鞏俐飾）的父母要她嫁給一位擁有一座酒坊的50歲麻風病人。九兒乘坐花轎出嫁時，在途中被一名強盜攔截。其中一名抬轎男子餘占鼇（薑文飾）打退了強盜，九兒因而和他開始相互喜歡。3天後九兒回鄉探望父母 。抬轎男子突然從高粱田裏衝出來，搶走了九兒。他們在高粱田野外交合。九兒回到酒坊的時候發現麻風病的丈夫死了，“ 我奶奶”撐起李家的燒酒作坊，不久餘占鼇正式成為 “我爺爺”，並獨創釀製好酒十八紅的方法。抗日戰爭期間，“我爺爺”和“我奶奶”連手譜寫了一曲悲歌。
