《死囚漫步》劇情簡介
修女海倫（蘇珊·薩蘭登 Susan Sarandon 飾）受死刑犯馬修·龐斯萊（西恩·潘 Sean Penn 飾）之托，前往監獄探望他。馬修否認殘殺年輕情侶被判死刑，提出上訴。海倫一路走訪，深入村莊調查真相。一方麵是被虐殺而死的無辜情侶，一方麵是即將被處決的罪犯的精神依托， 海倫使盡各種辦法幫助馬修，但當她麵對受害者雙親的痛訴以及公眾的憤怒時，海倫的內心也陷入糾結的道德審判中。海倫最終感化了馬修。行刑前，馬修承認自己的罪行並祈求得到受害者家人的寬恕，安心而有尊嚴的走完人生的最後168小時。
本片改編自修女海倫·普雷金的真實故事，蘇珊·薩蘭登因本片榮獲第68屆奧斯卡最佳女主角。
