《同胞》劇情簡介
故事以岩手縣的鬆尾村為背景，講述東京統一劇團的統籌河野秀子(倍賞千惠子)到訪當地，希望遊說青年會合作製作一出名為「故鄉」的音樂劇。身為會長的齊藤高誌(寺尾聰)雖然大力支持，但由於經費、場地等問題，公演受到極大阻力。高誌和秀子最後排除萬難，終於得償所願，為千多名觀眾送上最真摯動人的一夜。為拍攝此片，山田及其製作班底花了一年多時間，實地考察統一劇團的地方公演。
