《錄影帶謀殺案》劇情簡介
馬克思（James Woods 飾）是一家小型電視台的台長，為提高收視率，馬克思四處搜羅帶有色情或暴力內容的劇集。馬克思的下屬哈蘭盜用衛星信號，獲取了一檔名為影視場的節目，內容為寫實粗糙的暴力虐待場麵，馬克思看過這套節目後無法忘懷，對其他劇集喪失了興趣。電台主播尼奇（Deborah Harry 飾）與馬克思相識不久，這名有受虐傾向的女子也被影視場吸引，奔赴節目可能的產地匹茲堡欲參與製作。馬克思經人指點拜訪影視場的創始人布萊恩教授卻沒有見到真人，教授寄來的以尼奇為主角的錄像讓馬克思產生了幻覺，馬克思再度拜訪始知布萊恩早已被殺死，現在的影視場節目由驚人視力公司的巴裏負責，馬克思一步步落入了巴裏設計好的圈套，在巴裏與布萊恩兩種力量間越陷越深……
本片獲1984年加拿大吉尼獎最佳導演獎。
