《一個國家的誕生》劇情簡介
美國南北戰爭時期，南方莊園主卡梅倫一家原本過著安逸的生活。卡梅隆和斯通曼家的孩子同在一所寄宿學校念書，接觸中，年輕的本傑明·卡梅隆（亨利·B·沃斯奧HenryB.Walthall飾）和埃爾西·斯通曼（麗蓮·吉許LillianGish飾）互生情愫。然而不久南北戰爭爆發。本傑明參加了南方軍隊，奔赴前線，與北方的昔日好友斯通曼（拉爾夫·李維斯RalphLewis飾）成了敵手。戰後，黑人燒殺搶掠。本傑明組織三K黨，對黑人進行報複，粉碎了建立所謂的“黑人王國”的陰謀。本傑明與埃爾西這對患難情侶也終於走到了一起。他們的結合，預示著一個新的國家的誕生和統一。\r\n這部由美國電影巨匠D·W·格裏菲斯編導的長達三個多小時的鴻篇巨製《一個國家的誕生》，是世界電影史上最重要的裏程碑式電影，也是默片時代的經典之作。本片因為對白人優越主義的提倡，以及對三K黨的美化而頗具爭議性。
