《化學課》劇情簡介
本劇改編自作家、科學編輯兼廣告撰稿人邦妮·加默斯的同名小說。
故事發生在1950年代早期，當時的社會普遍認為女性屬於家庭而非職業領域。Elizabeth Zott（布麗·拉爾森 Brie Larson 飾）渴望在一個由男性主導的世界裏成為一名科學家。她就職於一 家實驗室，是知名科學家Calvin Evans（劉易斯·普爾曼 Lewis Pullman 飾）的助手，兩人之間有著非同尋常的化學反應。然而，隨著Elizabeth發現自己懷有身孕、孤身一人，還被實驗室開除，她擱置了自己的夢想，同時也被激發出了單身母親獨有的聰明才智。Elizabeth接受了一份在電視烹飪節目當主持人的工作，並開始教導一個國家被忽視的家庭主婦們和那些突然用心傾聽的男性很多食譜之外的知識，也一直渴望著回到自己真正喜愛的領域：科學。
