美麗的紅傘藝妓山部琴乃（佃井皆美 飾）自幼跟隨父親周五郎（野村將希 飾）學習家傳刀法，武功了得。當她年幼時，父親被武士片桐兵衛（金井茂 飾）殺害，為報父仇，琴乃以藝妓的身份追查仇人的下落。
尋訪途中，女忍者（長澤奈央 飾）和武僧金慈院豪安（白善哲 飾）不斷擋住琴乃去路，連番惡戰過後，琴乃慘勝。在此之後，艱難險阻和各式高手不斷出現，一不留神便會丟掉性命。隨著追查的進行，琴乃也逐漸得知父親遇害背後的秘密……
